This camp sent us a listing for our Camp Guide last month, and we somehow neglected to include it.

Broadacres Farm for Kids

This day camp offers one-week sessions of fun farm life.  Some of the activities include:

  • caring for baby animals
  • hay rides
  • crafts
  • horseback riding
  • picnics in the hayloft
  • completing a farm memory book
  • playing farm games

All of these activities are provided on a clean, historic farm featuring 20 acres and eight beautiful barns.  The camp director is an accomplished teacher, exceptional 4-H leader and has been on the board of directors for the Livingston County Farm Bureau.  The dedicated and caring camp counselors provide a positive and fun environment. Camp programs promote agricultural awareness through carefully designed sessions that enable kids of all ages to engage in hands-on educational farm fun.

Their annual Farm Open House will be on Saturday, June 2 from Noon-3:00 p.m. It will feature hay rides, pony rides, and good old fashioned fun on the farm playing with the animals, in the hay loft. A simple BBQ lunch will also be available (by donation). Bring your friends & family, but please leave pets at home.

Farm Animals & Ewe is designed for kids 5 years old and up. Campers will be assigned animals to take care of and learn about their needs and uses on the farm.

On the Mooove is a camp reserved for pre-schoolers(3-4 year olds). These campers will play and frolic with baby animals and enjoy farm life. Campers MUST be potty trained!
June 13-15 $110

Horse Course is for children 7 years old and up.This themed camp will offer all the farm fun of basic farm camp, with the added bonus of an in-depth look into horses and their care. This theme will be reflected scholastically and in the crafts, this is NOT a camp focused on learning how to ride horses, but campers do ride the horses everyday.

Farmin’ Around is for kids 10 years old and up. All the fun and learning is kicked up a notch. Campers will experience extensive interaction with the animals while learning showmanship and safe handling techniques as well as enjoy the daily bliss of being at an agricultural paradise.
