14% of all American women who have at least one child in their household have read or contributed to a blog in the past 30 days, according to a recent study by Scarborough Research. 89% of these women have children between the ages of two and eleven.
Women who are active in the blogosphere are likely to be more educated and wealthier. They make an average of 14,000 more annually and are 50% more likely to have a college education. They are also much more likely to have contributed to social, environmental, political, or cultural causes or to have done volunteer work.
They represent all kinds of political perspectives, and they are much more politically active in terms of how often they vote or contribute money.
